JUNIOR SEA CADETS

Begin the voyage…

Imagine building your own raft, learning to steer a boat, or making new friends while camping under the stars. That’s what life is like for our Junior Sea Cadets.

What Juniors Do
Our programme uses four colour-coded modules: Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Each module covers a range of activities, from water safety to citizenship. Juniors earn badges as they complete tasks, working towards four proficiency qualifications, including practical water sessions, STEM projects and national awards. They learn how boats work, practise teamwork and try new outdoor activities.

Where and When
Junior Cadets meet every Tuesday from 19:00 to 21:00 at Meadowdale Primary School, Market Harborough. We break only for Christmas. Due to demand, we run a waiting list. Contact us early to arrange a visit and secure a place for your child.

A Colourful Journey of Discovery

Our Junior Sea Cadets programme is divided into four sections: Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Each section offers themed activities that teach through adventure. Our Junior Training Officer supports cadets as they complete hands-on tasks and earn badges.

Juniors work towards four proficiency qualifications. These include practical water sessions where they learn how boats float, steer and stay safe. Cadets also complete STEM projects that bring science and maths to life. National challenges and awards give juniors more goals to achieve.

It’s learning by doing. Junior Sea Cadets build confidence and life skills while having fun.
